Lost Wax.
Each design starts with a daunting slab of wax.
Hour after hour the wax is transformed in the studio with an array of sculpting tools, melting, reshaping, and carving until the form reveals itself.
After months of honing the sculptural details, the design is complete. A mother mold is made from the original, allowing for multiples to be poured and then chased.
Once numbered and marked with the Agatha Studio custom stamps, the waxes are ready to head to the foundry, where the wax will be “lost.”
